Thomas Mok - 25 Nov 2008

Yesterday, a few nice friends celebrated my birthday at Shogun. As many could not make it, we decided that those who can make it to bring along their spouses and what a sport all of them are. I really appreciate their spending time with us and to note that all of us can be close friends, including each and every other's half is really something unique and to be treasured fully.

I want to thank these friends for being such nice people and the world are really a better place with friends like you guys. Thank you thank you thank you.

I hope everyone enjoyed the food and after that, everyone adjourned to Red Box.

Some of the photos in Red Box, forgotten to take photos in the restaurant. I know Michael took some photos and I will upload once I received copies from him.

Ang Seng Hing - 24 Oct 2008

To those who took a rain check, you guys don't know what you are missing, especially if we get 2 million ringgit each, hah!!!

Anyway, 24 Oct 08, we all gathered at Imperial Restaurant to wish our friend, Mr Ang Seng Hing his 5 decades and counting birthday. Conspicously missing is Joanne, who never misses anyones' birthday (except mine, and now Ang's) and a few others regular "aeroplaner", also had Ang's chairman, a first time to be having dinner with us. So, guest list read as : Mr and Mrs Ang, the guest of honour, the rest being Francis (I hope I get the name right), Abel, Daniel, Michael, Benjamin, KK, WK and yours truly.

Still, food was quite good, though a bit more "common" and "sweet". Picture will be posted after received from Ang and Michael. I didn't take any photo since my camera is "lau yah cap ayam brand" so, I wait for the expensive camera's picture to be posted, so as not to embarrass the restaurant (and myself)

Okay, got the picture from Michael and Ang, click here for the link.

At the same time, I will post here some of the pictures for your viewing pleasure. Oh, by the way, must scold the cameramen, where are the others' photos? At least, when I take, I take the attendees also mah. Remember to take the guests picture also lah next time. Only got one Wai Keong's at the back ground, that one also I think accidentally one. Cameramen - all fails, I give 30 points only, hahaha....

Dinner was organised in V-Garden, Klang and the food were quite good, despite yours truly jaw, gum, teeth in pain, most of the foods were finished. Same goes for the President, despite not having very good appetite, the night's serving for him was finished up. Sharing some photos taken on the dinner. For more photos, go to album, here.

For additional video, uploaded to YouTube, please go here, here and here, courtesy of Mr Ang.

TAB and Alvin - 22 Aug 2008

The August month sees the birthday celebration of Tan Ah Beng and Alvin Chua. The group had a dinner to celebrate this joyous occasion in Taman Rashna Restaurant. All were present, except to Vincent who was in China, even the ELUSIVE Daniel Tan was present too, most probably like SH Ang said, because of TAB's stature? How can???

Here are some of the pictures taken. Apologies because apparently, the new handphone despite having higher pixel but is not forgiving to the slightest shake of hand or movement on the part of person/s in the lenses. Most of the pictures turned up blurred. Hopefully, Michael will have some clearer ones so I can upload it here.

The customary 4 season dish.

The Birthday Boy - Tan Ah Beng and Mrs Tan
WK, MN, KK. The hand that entered frame and taking the food was AU's hand.

The Birthday Boy - Alvin Chua. The camera captured even slight movement, probably need to do some adjustment on the capture.
Second take, this time better. The right is Henry and the left is Daniel Tan.
Sauna in the room, not. It was the prawn having sauna.
The prawn getting cooked.
The birthday cake, courtesy of AU.

Michael lighting the candles for the birthday boys.

The singing about to start.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TAB AND AC
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU......

Oh, a small note, during the dinner, AU mentioned about a measurement while playing games, I was thinking hard and I realise how the word come about already.

The word AU mentioned was "lengking" - a measurement unit from thumb to pinky. I just realised that pinky is called "kelengking" thus the word "lengking" must have been derived from there, ie, "kalau sampai (ke)lengking, awak menang."

Following are the photograph taken by Michael, digital camera, so I think the quality slightly better.

Taiwan Trip

Penny and Katryn, we were waiting for Ben who went to survey the MRT. Can't remember the station name but it was near the Snake Alley.

Another temple, right in front of the MRT station mentioned above.

Their policemen's scooter. Noticed that the numbers are basically in sequence? Even when they parked their scooter, it is in systematic arrangement, is it a wonder then that their country progress much faster than Malaysia?

Mr Ang's favourite but he was not with us on that day, only four of us were exploring. I guarantee Mr Ang would love this because even I can smell it's fragrance. hehehe.

June's Birthday

This birthday for a mutual friend was celebrated impromtu. Only a few of the fellas were aware and this was taken after the concert by Air Supply in Genting Highlands.

Henry Tan and Bonnie Ng's Birthday Lunch

Bonnie and Henry's birthday lunch on 18 Jun 2008.

You know, as the year goes by, you will realise that friends who are close are hard to come by, just treasure them while you can.

On the way to dinner, we were informed that one of our acquaintance got a heart attack and is in icu presently.
